My approach: psychodynamic, anti-oppressive, creative
My general 'vibe': curious, dedicated, sincere, collaborative
About me: I'm Holly (she/her). I work with people carrying pain rooted in how the world sees them — their race, disability, neurodivergence, body, or identity. I also work with individuals navigating grief, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and childhood trauma. I offer in-person sessions in Leith and online across the UK. I am previously trained in music therapy, which taught me to pay attention to the creative side of emotional work.
Therapy, to me, is a relational space to collaboratively explore what you're carrying, where it comes from, and how it shows up now. That exploration can take many forms - creatively wondering, attending to the body, making room for inner voices, sitting in silence. Rather than labelling patterns that may feel limiting as problems to fix, I approach them as meaningful signals — of what once kept you safe, and guides toward where growth is possible. I move with you, at your pace, with no 'shoulds' about what to bring or where to start.
Anti-oppressive practice is at the heart of my practice. This means I hold your experiences in context, making connections to how pain emerges within systems and spaces that were never built for you. From there, our work becomes about more than making sense of these injustices - but finding ways to move through and beyond them.
Whatever led you to this moment of choosing to start therapy, our work together begins with witnessing you fully and without judgment — exploring the pain, your felt truths, and attending to where they live, in the body or otherwise, and what they might be telling us. From there, transformation and rebuilding become possible.
